Victoria is Haunted

Join Ian Gibbs and me for the Victoria is Haunted event on October 26th at Russell Books in Victoria. Doors will be open at 7 pm. Ian and I will be reading ghost stories, meeting readers, and signing books. As the poster above says, we’ll also be sharing “some of the Island’s creepiest tales.” That’s a fact.

Hope to see you all there!

The Haunting of Vancouver Island – 2nd Print

The first print of The Haunting of Vancouver Island has sold out! Copies may still be in stores, but the warehouse has none. A second printing was ordered last week and should be available sometime this coming week, just in time for the holiday season. TouchWood Editions publisher Taryn Boyd said the spine will be slightly thinner, as we’re using a different printing company than we did for the first run.

The book has been doing phenomenal! This week, The Haunting of Vancouver Island was number two on the BC Bestsellers List. It has been on the list for seven weeks in a row, but this is the highest it has climbed so far. Continue reading “The Haunting of Vancouver Island – 2nd Print”

Vancouver Island University Book Reading & Launch

The Arbutus Room is above the cafeteria in building 300 (campus map). For those of you unfamiliar with the Nanaimo Campus, the Cafeteria, Library, and Theatre are all situated around the central courtyard. This is not a closed event. Everyone who can make it is welcome! Continue reading “Vancouver Island University Book Reading & Launch”

The Skull-Faced Bishop: The Horrific Image of One Vancouver Island Ghost

The Haunting of Vancouver Island

The Haunting of Vancouver Island has officially been sent to print — and honestly, I couldn’t be happier with the finished product. The book will be released on October 10.

TouchWood Editions has turned my manuscript into something truly beautiful. The font is darkly spellbinding, the images have been carefully inserted, and the cover boldly captures the otherworldy spirit of the book. My mouth literally fell open the first time I saw it.
