The Haunting of Vancouver Island – 2nd Print

The first print of The Haunting of Vancouver Island has sold out! Copies may still be in stores, but the warehouse has none. A second printing was ordered last week and should be available sometime this coming week, just in time for the holiday season. TouchWood Editions publisher Taryn Boyd said the spine will be slightly thinner, as we’re using a different printing company than we did for the first run.

The book has been doing phenomenal! This week, The Haunting of Vancouver Island was number two on the BC Bestsellers List. It has been on the list for seven weeks in a row, but this is the highest it has climbed so far. Continue reading “The Haunting of Vancouver Island – 2nd Print”

Vancouver Island University Book Reading & Launch

Hi everyone, Here’s the poster for my reading at Vancouver Island University on October 27th at 5:30 pm. That’s the Friday of the Halloween weekend. The Arbutus Room is above the cafeteria in building 300 (campus map). For those of you unfamiliar with the Nanaimo Campus, the Cafeteria, Library, and Theatre are all situated around the central courtyard. This is not a closed event. The Skull-Faced Bishop: The Horrific Image of One Vancouver Island Ghost

Bishop Seghers’ apparition is one of Vancouver Island’s most terrifying visages. He is said to appear in full priest attire, gliding across the cathedral’s floor from out of the shadows. Instead of a face, or hair, or flesh of any kind, however, the priest has a bare-boned smiling skull set upon his shoulders.
